A look into what music actually is and what it means
Music, A Brief Definition

The Websters defined Music as the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity.
In order words, websters went further to define music as the study of science or art in the order of tones or sounds (which means music is all about tones and sounds, that is to say that without sounds (i.e instrumentals)or tones, Melody, rhythm, harmony and tempos, music composition is useless.
Secondly, Webster Went further to let us know that music is also the gathering of instrumentals in order to get a specific sound which will be pleasant to the audience.

According To Concise Oxford Dictionary,  music is "the art of combining vocal or instrumental sounds to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.

However, some music genres, such as  musique concrète, challenge these ideas by using sounds not widely considered as musical, beautiful or harmonious, like randomly produced electronic distortion, feedback, static and also sounds produced using compositional processes which utilize indeterminacy.
According To Thomas Clifton, music is an ordered arrangement of sounds and silences whose meaning is presentative rather than denotative.
Thomas Clifton Went further to distinguish music from sounds as purely physical objects. More precisely,
music is seen or defined as an ''actualization of the possibility of any sound whatever to present  a meaning which he experiences with his body, that is to say with his mind, feelings, senses, will, and metabolism.''

Iannis Xenakis defined music in the following Terms
As a sort of comportment.
As an individual or a realization.
Fitting into the sound of imagined virtualities.
As a normative, that is to say it is unconscious.
It is catalytic.
Expression of sadness and joy.

Generally, Music is seen or defined as an art form or an art that combines vocal or instrumental sounds, using form, harmony, and expression of emotion to convey a message or an idea to the audience. Music expresses the mood without sending any specific words or a message across. The Word 'Music' can also be captured and recorded in a written  language unique onto any other art form.
